Jon on drumsMusic has been my passion since I was a kid. I grew up in a musical family and learned to play the drums at a very young age. I have a bachelor’s in Jazz Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a minor in business. I received my Master’s from the University of South Florida in Tampa also in Jazz Performance. I have toured Europe playing jazz festivals in France, Italy, Netherlands and Switzerland. Over the years I have gotten to play with some great musicians such as Randy Brecker, John Clayton, and Eric Alexander, to name a few. I was also very fortunate to study with Danny Gottlieb and Steve Davis. While studying for my masters, I worked for major contractors traveling throughout the U.S. and all over the state of Florida playing major corporate events and wedding receptions. This helped me gain the knowledge to manage events and make them flow while keeping the guests involved and keeping the stress off the client.

I started Downtime Productions with the idea of having a satisfying musical experience with musicians who are professional and love to entertain audiences. I want the client to have the option of getting all of the music for the event through us, from ceremonies to cocktails, dinner and dance. With Downtime’s high demand, I have decided to start a second Downtime Band. This allows us to serve more clients while keeping the cost down and being a more budget friendly band. These are two well rehearsed bands and the mp3 clips on our website represent everyone who works for me. You can view all of the members below. We can customize the band so that you get exactly what you want. All of the musicians I hire are professionals that have studied music at a major university or have degrees in music. I do not take hiring musicians lightly. I have musicians on hold every night in case someone gets sick or something happens. We are all in this together with the idea of it being the best it can be. Everything you hear is live which enables us to either lengthen songs or shorten songs as needed.

I am dedicated to making your event a success. I am very hands on and want everything to run smoothly. Don’t let our age fool you; we are serious professionals. While most bands do this just as a hobby on the weekends, we do this for a living and love music and performing. We have a 100% client satisfaction rate. We accommodate any needs you may have along with staying out of the way of the event and making sure you get exactly what you want.

I look forward to working with you on your event!!!!
